Cirque du Soleil – The Beatles: Love

The Beatles: Love is a show featured at the Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas and depicts the amazing legacy of sensational British band, the Beatles. This Las Vegas show, inspired by the Beatles poetic lyrics, sets on a journey to explore the Beatles timeless songs through a series of imaginary and real people. A star studded International cast portray this image spectacularly, combining breathtaking acrobatics, dance, freestyle and even extreme sports to deliver a sensational show that is defiantly worth watching!

60 performers regularly take to the stage at the Cirque du Soleil to capture the imagination of their audience through exciting and breathtaking moves. The characters portrayed in the Beatles Love All show are all inspired by the groups music and songs. Some of the characters include Doctor Robert (the host), Father McKenzie and even Eleanor Rigby! There are more imaginative characters such as Walrus-Eggman, Mr.Piggy, Lucy and the Firemen and Sgt. Pepper. The imaginative range of characters combine with the excellence of the cast to produce a show that is mesmerising and unforgettable.

In terms of production, the show is first rate. The show’s soundscape was crafted by the infamous Sir George and Giles Martin. The production is held in the grand Love Theater at the Mirage Resort and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. This elegant theatre is custom-built and can house up to 2,013 guests, with each seat equipped with a set of three speakers, including one in the headrest. In total, the theatre contains well over 6,000 speakers, generating an amazing, quality sound for the production. Two walls elevated above the audience are equipped with huge projection screens. In addition, four translucent screens are unfurled from the ceiling during the performance.

The Beatles Love was launched in June of 2006 and attended by the remaining Beatles Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr in addition to a host of other important individuals such as Sir George Martin, Yoko Ono and Julian Lennon. Following the successful first year of the production, the group returned on the shows first year anniversary to unveil a memorial plaque in memory of George Harrison and John Lennon which can still be seen today.

Cirque du Soleil The Beatles Love in Las Vegas is appropriate for audiences of all ages. Two performances are usually presented Thursday through Monday evenings. More details about performance dates and times, seating charts and ticket information are available.
