Despite a rocky start that included lawsuits over the properties name and potential budgeting downfalls, one of the newest casinos on the Las Vegas Strip also happens to be one of the more successful venues. Just like the hotel’s namesake beverage, the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is light and refreshing to the Sin City scene with a hidden kick that can produce some wild times.
When the it opened its doors in December of 2010, it was instantly the new hot spot for young tourists, locals, and celebrities looking for a wild time. The on-site day and nightclub, Marquee, is much to blame for the insurgence of youthful souls. During the day, Marquee Dayclub offers its guests a little poolside fun in the sun with an accompanying outdoor gaming area. As the sun sets, Marquee’s guests change their attire to match the indoor venue.
If you’re not into the whole “club” scene, but are still looking for a suitable location to get your “drink on”, the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is home to four bars and the ultra-lounge, Bond. Among the norm of the resort’s bars are the Book & Stage, Vesper Bar, and Queue Bar. Rounding off the bar scene with bit of a twist is The Chandelier, a 3 story bar / lounge where each level comes with its own unique music choice. Whether you’re looking to spend the night in the quieter company of others or thoroughly enjoy a booming bass in your ears, the Cosmopolitan is home to a location perfect for you.
Like other venues along the strip, the Cosmopolitan offers no shortage of eateries. From Estiatorio Milos to China Poblano, establishments all throughout the Resort cover ethnicities from the far west to the near east. The Wicked Spoon Buffet is sure to please any and all appetites while the Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill caters to all lovers of seafaring wildlife. No matter your tastes, the Cosmopolitan is home to some 5 star establishments that will be sure to quench your appetite.
Attached to the near 3,000 room hotel is a 100,000 square foot casino that houses the most state of the art and up to date machines, along with the classical table and card games. The large casino floor is lined with large glass panes that offer first rate views of the Las Vegas Strip. On the casino floors are never-before-seen Casino Cabanas, which offers the perfect social atmosphere with a hint of that Las Vegas gaming.
When it opened, there was no doubt that the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas would join the rest of the powerhouse casinos that have long since established themselves in Sin city. The casinos centralized location, which sits right next to the newly built City Center, makes it an optimal location when it comes to Las Vegas shopping and also grants easy access to many of the cities surrounding casinos.
